The U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation’s Trailblazer Adventure Program– brought to you by the Cabela’s Outdoor Heritage Fund–set a record this year. Across America more than 120 events were held and more than 226,000 attendees learned about hunting, fishing, archery, trapping and conservation.
This introduction to the outdoors program began in 2001 and works to introduce youth and their family to the outdoors. Since the beginning of this national program, more than 1.5 million participants have attended more than 700 events in 48 states. Other Trailblazer partners include the American Heritage Girls, Weatherby Foundation and Expos, Boy Scouts of America, Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters and many other organizations. Thousands of local clubs and concerned sportsmen and women have donated valuable volunteer man-hours to successfully hold the events.
During 2012 more than 40 events were held at Cabela’s stores or in connection with Cabela’s cardholder events across America. 2013 Trailblazer Adventure Program sites are now being scheduled nationwide from coast to coast.
