Nearly all hunting trips begin with the same process—purchasing a hunting license. Nearly every state makes these licenses available through numerous retail outlets, but many hunters decide in the evening to go hunting the next day, and then the potential hunter possibly finds standard retail outlets closed. The answer is on-line licenses for most hunters. Others find toll free numbers fill the need.
In most basic hunting situations you can simply visit the game department’s website, look for a license icon or button, and follow the pages as you fill in the boxes and pay at e-check-out with a credit card. States everywhere are working to streamline the process and create options to ensure that hunters buy the correct license and any necessary stamps or permits.
