PETA Again Promotes Wearing of Fur

Posted on December 5, 2011

One of the more bizarre acts by the animal rights radical PETA could be the group’s distribution of fur coats in Cincinnati, Ohio, in December 2011. The PETA news release reported a date and location for the distribution of free fur coats and garments. YES, PETA IS PUSHING FUR AGAIN!

The group has given fur coats away in past events. This time the group planned to give away more than 100 fur coats that it reports were donated to it.
“We can’t bring these animals back, but we can send a message that only people truly struggling to survive have any excuse for wearing fur,” says PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk. PETA also reports it will be giving fur coats away overseas.

No word yet on whether area fur dealer and clothiers were complaining about PETA’s move in the fur market. Trappers, however, are reported to be happier that PETA is increasing the demand—or public acceptance—of fur.
