PETA Building to be Renovated Thanks to Bob Barker
Former Game Show Host Gives $2.5 Million for Project

Bob Barker, the former host of the popular daytime game show the Price is Right, has upped his donations on behalf of this country’s most outrageous animal rights group. He has helped PETA renovate a new office building in Los Angeles through a massive $2.5 million donation.
Barker was on hand March 10 to cut the ribbon for the new “Bob Barker” building on the corner of Sunset Blvd. and Alvarado St. in LA. This building will house PETA’s media, marketing and youth outreach staff. As the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance (USSA) reported previously, PETA decided to redeploy these departments from its main office in Virginia to LA in order to be close to Hollywood so that it could further shape perceptions in the mainstream media about its issues.
This large donation by Barker is merely the latest in a long line of efforts made by him over the years to benefit animal rights and anti-hunting groups. Barker will be the keynote speaker at the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s “Future of Animal Law" conference April 9-11. He also gave $1 million to his alma mater, Drury University in Missouri, in order to create a professorship on animal rights that will eventually develop into a full undergraduate degree program.
“Once again, Bob Barker is proving himself to be a real ‘Sugar Daddy’ for extremist animal rights groups,” said Doug Jeanneret, USSA vice president of marketing. “Not only does he want to train an army of anti-hunting lawyers, he continues to bankroll a group known for its extreme shock tactics and support of accused eco-terrorists.”
