New York Sportsmen: Defend Your Rights at “Gun Day” Tomorrow! Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 29, is an important day for sportsmen and gun rights supporters across the Empire State. New York’s own, Shooters Committee on Political Education (SCOPE) is holding a “Gun Day” rally that should be attended by all sportsmen and gun rights supporters. The rally is in response to a wave of anti-gun bills that were expected to be voted on by the New York Assembly earlier today. The bills under consideration include many measures that would negatively impact New York sportsmen, including a bill that would classify many common hunting firearms as assault weapons (AB 6157) and a bill that could easily put law-abiding firearms dealers out of business through new, overly restrictive regulations( AB 1093). Unfortunately, these bills are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to restricting the rights of sportsmen and gun enthusiasts in New York. To see the full listing of bills – click here. Take Action! Sportsmen who are able to attend the “Gun Day” Rally at the capital are encouraged to do so.
